FoneBlog is a complete server side solution and runs over mobile phone standards (MMS, SMS and WAP), meaning that users do not have to download and install software on their phone. It runs on carrier grade, scalable systems designed to interface with SMSC, MMSC and email systems. It can be integrated with Operators' web systems to provide a single online experience for customers.
FoneBlog even detects which device is viewing a Blog and alters the display to fit the devices capability. FoneBlog supports all mobile phones working on 2G, 2.5G and 3G networks.
- Users register by sending an SMS or MMS message to a special mobile number (you can also register online or over WAP).
- Users receive their website name and a password by SMS message to their mobile phone. Initial website name is determined by the Network Operator (e.g. www.operator.com/mobilenumber).
- Users send SMS, MMS or email messages to a special mobile number.
- FoneBlog creates a new entry for each message and places it at the top of their website. Previous entries are moved down and each day a new page is created.
- The blog can be viewed by any web browser.
- Users can also login to their blog using a web or WAP browser to add and edit entries, choose different skins, setup privacy options and change other settings.
